TITLE: Part-time Event Manager
PROGRAM: Community Development
TEAM RESPONSIBILITY: Executes fundraising events to raise revenue for ProKids.
 
 
DESCRIPTION:
ProKids is seeking to hire a part-time development associate who would raise funds to improve the lives of children who have been abused and neglected.  The Event Manager will work closely with the Community Development Director.  Primary duties will involve planning, management, and oversight of all fundraising events.

These responsibilities will include managing all aspects of fundraising events and assistance with other development activities. Current fundraising events include our Friends of Children Breakfast and Lunch and our annual auction gala.
 
Qualified candidates will have a commitment to ProKids' mission and a clear understanding of the development process. This professional should have superior relationship building skills, an extroverted, proactive personality  (with a natural style in persuading others to give and/or increasing their levels of giving). The ability to lead strategically and be pro-active with cultivation is vital to this role as it maximizes the participation of board, donors, volunteers, and staff in development support. 
 
This position involves being a “jack of all trades” as it contains aspects of all the development needs i.e. annual giving solicitation, administration support for major gifts, sponsorships, following leads, making cold calls and other.
